Donation received for lion
enclosures. 15 December 2003 20:57:12 PM
We are delighted to
report that the remaining funds needed to construct the additional lion
enclosures have been donated by a foundation in the UK who chose to remain
anonymous. |
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation
for their generous donation (not forgetting all the individuals who donated
money for the lions enclosures as well) that will allow us to continue our
efforts to assist the conservation department with their law enforcement. I
would also like to thank the UK media without whose support we would not have
been able to raise the necessary funding in such a short period or
time.
On completion the CATS RESCUE CENTRE will allow us to accommodate
20 – 30 lions and 8 leopards. We will also be able to accommodate other large
predators such as African wild dogs or brown and spotted hyena for veterinary
and rehabilitation purposes. The Cats Rescue Centre will ensure that many wild
predators can now be placed temporarily until a new and suitable home can be
found for them.
